Nvidia Excludes Crypto from AI Program, Affecting Arbitrum

Nvidia’s decision to exclude crypto projects has deprived Arbitrum of expected AI resources, highlighting existing tensions. The cancellation affects Arbitrum’s growth strategies. Wu Blockchain, Industry Source, X, said,
Nvidia recently explicitly excluded cryptocurrency-related projects from its Inception program.
Arbitrum, important in DeFi, sought Nvidia’s AI support. Key stakeholders include CEO Steven Goldfeder of Arbitrum and Nvidia’s leadership.

Arbitrum Token Rises 4.5% Post Nvidia Exclusion

The exclusion had a limited impact on Arbitrum’s token price, which increased by 4.5%. Arbitrum continues efforts independently.
Financially, Arbitrum remains stable despite Nvidia’s exclusion, while the tech giant reiterates its focus on traditional AI investments without crypto reliance.

Historical AI-Crypto Tensions Resurface Amid Nvidia’s Decision

Nvidia’s stance recalls its 2018 response to the crypto crash. Similar rejections have affected blockchain projects seeking partnerships with AI firms. Michael Kagan, CTO, Nvidia, said,

Experts suggest an increased push for crypto-native AI solutions, as traditional tech companies like Nvidia maintain distance from blockchain associations.
